Every Journey Starts with the first step”. I travelled around a lot as a child; my parents were missionaries.
This song is reminds me of travelling, and imagining living and exploring around all the places we used to pass through.
In fact, the piano and and guitar melody on the intro mimic the contour of a wave…

This is the first piece I ever wrote with Mark Swift when we were both still at University we released it as a demo under the title “Pilgrim”. We were inspired by a band we were obsessed with called IONA. Its a huge honour to have Dave Bainbridge from IONA playing a guitar solo on this track.
