Desert rose is a kind of rock that forms in the desert when the wind blows gypsum crystals and sand grains and they harden into a beautiful rose shapes.

When ever I pick up an acoustic guitar, this is the first thing I play. The first 4 bars were written the day princess Diana died and my country was in shock.
Every year after that, on my summer holiday camping trip I’d sit in a beautiful place and try to write a few more bars. Its been a really difficult song to write.
Every bar and melody has been agonised over and played and arranged in 1000 different ways.
Like most things in life, its the struggle that makes us better. This piece exudes beauty through struggle for me!
